Still Bangin’ moved to 2-0 in Men’s Fall BB League softball play Friday at Las Animas Park with a 19-14 decision over Dee’z Nutz.
Art Del Valle’s three-run home run highlighted a nine-run outburst in the third for an 18-2 Still Bangin’ lead. Leroy Dozal added a three-run homer and Fred McCasland and Paul Garcia each roped four hits for the winners.
Ryan Dequin, John Jimenez and Henry Huerta slapped home runs and Bobby Reggiani went 3-for-4 for Dee’z.
Dutchman’s is also 2-0 after a 20-5 victory over Bike Center.
Mike Howe went 4-for-4 with a homer, Kenny Hopf 4-for-5 with a homer for the Pizzamen. Raul Gracia went 6-for-6 for the winners. Mark Terrill and Nick Hilton each managed two hits for Bike Center.
Self Made is 1-1 after a 13-5 nod over FTP. Willie Gamboa homered in a 3-for-3 night and Will Lawrence capped the Self Made scoring with a two-run homer. Gabriel Hernandez and Phil Ruiz each went 3-for-3 for FTP.
The Borrachos are alone atop the Men’s E standings at 2-0 after a 16-10 Thursday win over Trevino Brothers Construction.
Daniel Garcia and Ralph Flores each homered and Tony Murillo went 4-for-4 for the Borrachos. Mike Leslie and Cary Cola each hit a three-run homer for Trevino Brothers.
Claddagh Brew Crew struck for three runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn a 15-14 win over VFW Bingo.
Rick Hoiberg’s two-out, two-run single gave Claddagh a 14-13 lead. Parker Hathaway went 4-for-4 and Joey Morrow homered for the Crew, Stephen Jeske hit a home run and two singles for VFW Bingo.
Jose Cortes and Joe Yerena each homered to key a 16-7 831 Aftershock win over Da Click. Franckie Rubio homered for Da Click.
The Door Expo erupted for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 6-5 Co-Rec C League win over Hi-Energy Networks Sunday at Las Animas.
Adriana Bueno and Bernadette Medellin hit seventh-inning doubles to highlight the Expo comeback. Cristina Landeros helped the Door Expo cause by scoring two runs. Chris Baty went 4-for-4, Joseph Tovar 4-for-5 for Hi-Energy.
Serf Mancera and Art Mancera each homered as Blackout Window Tinting defeated El Fuego 22-7. Jesus Arias homered for El Fuego.
