Billie C. Bettencourt passed away Sunday morning at the age of 90. She was born in New Idria and had lived in San Benito County all of her life. She went to San Benito High School and college in Spokane, WA. She worked for many years at Hollister Auto Parts and later for the county tax collector’s office.
Billie was predeceased in 1992 by her husband, Joseph J. Bettencourt , one sister and three brothers She is survived by her son, Gary T. Williams of Hollister, grandsons, Timothy Williams, wife, Claudia and Rodney Williams, wife, Carol all of Hollister, great-grandchildren, Rebecca Williams, Rodney D. Williams, Jr. and Jared DeWitt all of Hollister. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
As to Billie’s wishes, private graveside services were held this last Wednesday, October 13th, 2010, at San Juan District Cemetery.
