The season starts with the pre-Broadway premiere of the new Carole King musical, “Beautiful,” which opens Sept. 24 at the Curran Theatre. This is a new and inspiring stage biography of one of America’s most enduring music icons and runs through Oct. 20.
“Peter and the Starcatcher” arrives in San Francisco Nov. 3, also at the Curran. This is an unforgettable escapade to Neverland that tells the intriguing back story of Peter Pan. It runs through Dec. 1.
The Gershwin classic “Porgy and Bess” is currently playing a sold-out run on Broadway. The much-anticipated national tour opens at the Golden Gate Theatre Nov. 10 through Dec. 8.
The nine time Tony Award winning musical “The Book Of Mormon” returns by popular demand to the Orpheum Theatre with a six-week engagement, Nov. 27 through Jan. 19, 2014. Tickets sold out fast when it played in San Francisco last season. Book early.
The season concludes with “Once” at the Curran Theatre. Winner of best musical and seven other awards at the 2012 Tony Awards, “Once” tells an enchanting tale of love and music. It runs June 17, 2014 through July 13, 2014.
