Three weeks after the Garlic Festival reported $18,000 in cash missing from their ticket booth, the alleged embezzlement continues to be actively investigated by Gilroy Police.

After concluding their investigation into the July 5 fatal shooting of a 3-year-old boy on Kentwood Court, the Gilroy Police Department sent their findings to the family violence unit of the District Attorney’s Office Wednesday morning. 

A 16-year-old boy, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a severe head injury after he fell while skateboarding on a steep hill off Mantelli Drive Tuesday night around 6 p.m., according to the Gilroy Police Department.
