GILROY – The Borrachos are 2-0 atop the second-half Men’s E Softball League standings after trimming the Assassins 8-7 Thursday at Christmas Hill Park.
Mitchell Reese homered and Joey Flores singled and scored on an infield out in the fifth inning to complete the Borrachos scoring.
Louie Bobadilla homered in a 3-for-3 effort for the Assassins.
Anritsu is 2-0 by outlasting New Hope Community Church 14-4. Ben Hartshorn went 3-for-4 and Bobby Lopez roped a two-run home run for the winners. Joe Rubino hit a two-run triple for New Hope.
Jake Maslanka homered in a 3-for-3 showing as the Hit Crew (1-0) topped Gilroy Honda Pilots 5-3. Dion Walker and Tom Shaver each notched two Pilot hits.
Team Hair FX (2-0) has a six-game winning streak after defeating the OG’s 9-5 in Men’s EE play Thursday at Las Animas Park.
Phil Montriaga went 3-for-3 and George Espinosa drive in three Hair FX runs. Jason Dias tripled and doubled for the OG’s.
VFW Bingo (2-0) used home runs from Dustin Robinson and John Castro to stop Bad Bews Block 21-6. Mike Stephens scored four Bingo runs. Gene Ahlin scored two Bad News runs.
Anritsu is 1-0 in Co-Rec C play after defeating the Big Kahunas 14-8 Sunday.
Mike Muth and Ruben Sanchez homered for the winners. Brett Scott went 3-for-5 and scored three Kahuna runs.
Out to Play-Pro Electric trimmed El Fuego 17-10 as Art Naranjo hit three home runs, a triple and double. Carmen Santoya went 5-for-5. Chris Hatch hit a three-run homer for El Fuego. Evelyn Castillo scored three runs.
RSW Racing is 2-0 in Co-Rec B action after a 20-0 nod over Gaeta’s Ballers. Mario Razo hit a homer and three doubles for RSW.
Frank Vargas Taxes turned back Blackout Window Tinting 26-5 as Anthony Corral went 5-for-5. Danny Rubio homered for Blackout.
Victoria’s Italian Deli is 2-0 in Men’s D play Friday after defeating Los Cochinos 17-6. Anthony Trefilo and Manuel Juarez homered for Victoria’s. Eddie Adame went 3-for-4 for Los Cochinos.
Bike Center scored three runs in the top of the eighth and held on to top the Bomb Squad 18-16. Steve Borgna, Nick Hilton and Marcus Gaeta hit Bike homers. David Espinoza and Benito Landeros stroked Bomb homers. Bike Center turned in a triple play in the seventh to force the extra inning. Borgna, Mitch Alatorre and Hilton turned the 5-4-3 triple killing.
Tax Systems (1-0) turned homers from Tom Karembela, Ryan Velasco and Anthony Bussey into a 21-8 victory over Humboldt Brewing. Dave Keim Jr. homered for the Brewers.
