collecting items and sending them to the troops in Iraq through
July 4.
GILROY – Boy scout Devin Collins is continuing his Eagle Project of collecting items and sending them to the troops in Iraq through July 4.

Help him complete his project while supporting our troops by donating items such as: hard candies, sun screen, CDs and CD players, toothbrushes and pastes, dental floss, drawing and writing supplies, energy bars, unscented soaps and lotions, Ziploc bags, powdered and sweetened drink mixes, Wet Wipes (Lever 2000 are preferred), bug spray (with less than 20 percent DEET), beef jerky, personal toiletries, fly swatters, gum (in blister packs), gel deodorant, DVDs, hand sanitizers, Game Boy games, lip balm, mending kits, eye and nose drops, sealed card and travel-sized games and letters of support.

Collections barrels are located at Gilroy City Hall, 7351 Rosanna St., open Mondays through Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and at the San Martin Country Park and Pumpkin Patch, located on Monterey Road.
