Anchorpoint Christian kicks off league play with 70-47 win.
What a difference a year makes.

Last season, the Anchorpoint Christian boys basketball team lost twice to league opponent York by a combined 12 points.

On Wednesday, the Warriors kicked off Coastal Athletic League play with a convincing 70-47 victory over York in Gilroy.

“They are surprising me all of a sudden,” head coach KC Adams said. “That team beat us pretty good twice last year.”

Kareem Lucas posted a team-high 21 points while Samual Apolinar and Jordan Suniga went for 20 and 19, respectively.

The Warriors jump back into league play Friday at Oakwood in Morgan Hill at 4:30 p.m.
