There’s nothing like a losing streak to light a fire underneath a team.

After dropping its first three appearances of the season, the Christopher High boys soccer team collected its first win of the season, trumping visiting Carmel 2-1 on a soggy Thursday afternoon.

CHS fell behind in the 10th minute but weathered the early deficit until freshman goal-machine, Carlos Jimenez tallied in the 30th minute. Jimenez has scored three of the four Cougars’ (1-3) goals so far this season.

The game remained tied until the 65th minute when Cristian Manzo push one past Carmel’s goalie.

Jimenez and Manzo assisted on each others’ goals.
