GILROY – Behind the outstanding performance of pitcher Maria Sandoval, who struck out 11 and allowed no hits, Don’s Vending Brakettes beat the Westside Grill Bandits 11-0 to win the Gilroy Little League Girls Minors softball championship.

Jel Reyes and Reagan Silveira both scored two runs for the Brakettes, and Miranda Janisch reached base safely both times she was up to bat.

Emily Boykin and Nicole Villanueva led the Bandits, as both got on base twice.
