Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board

The Gilroy Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8pm in the Gilroy Community Services Department Conference Room, 7351 Hanna St.

Swing And Country Dance Classes

Swing and country dance classes are held every Tuesday at Morgan Hill Grange Hall, 40 East Fourth St. Beginning West Coast Swing lessons start at 7pm and Country two-step lessons at 8pm. Drop-ins are welcome, and no partner is needed. Admission is $3 per class, and the first time is free.

Flower Lovers’ Club

Morgan Hill Flower Lovers’ Club, including Gilroy and San Martin, will hold its monthly meeting at noon in the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.

San Martin resident Marilynn Host will demonstrate her painting technique on gourds which she grows and display her many completed creations.

Music Academy Hosts Local Performance

The public is invited to attend a preview performance of “Beyond the Maple Leaf Ring,” a lecture recital to be given by Candace Fazzio, director of the Monterey Street Music Academy.

The performance, including music and information on classic and new ragtime styles, will take place in the Music Academy studios, 7423 Monterey St., Gilroy, at noon.

The program will be repeated in Rancho Cordova on Feb. 12 and again in March in Santa Rosa.

Audience members are welome to bring their lunch. The concert is free.
