Weekend Craft Fair Held At Casa de Fruta

Casa de Fruta and The Craft Fair present the ninth annual Mother’s Day Weekend Arts and Crafts Fair, between the restaurant and the deli, on Saturday and Sunday, from 9am to 6pm. Admission and parking are free. Casa de Fruta is located on Highway 152, about 15 miles east of Gilroy.

Country folk art, jewelry, handmade musical instruments and drums, ceramic dolls, wind chimes, plant hangers, hand-woven purses, needlepoint, clothing and much more.

Live music by Mike Knapp will feature a wide variety of folk, country and bluegrass sound.

Once Upon A Saturday

Each Saturday in March, a different children’s store at Gilroy Premium Outlets hosts “Once Upon a Saturday,” a storytelling time from 10:30 to 11am.

Kids will receive a goodie bag filled with a VIP Coupon Book, a children’s book donated by Book Warehouse and special discounts. On March 26, it will be held at the Oshkosh Building, suite B #400.

Busy Day At Henry Coe

Henry Coe State Park, 9000 E. Dunne Ave., will hold:

• A “Discovery Hike,” a 7-mile hike through Middle Ridge loop, with a side trip to Eric’s Bench at 10am. Bring a lunch and water.

• “Secret Spots,” a moderate, 5-mile hike, at 10am. Join Stew Eastman as he visits Hunting Hollow and explores side canyons and little-known ponds. Expect to do some stream wading. Bring lunch and lots of water.

• The evening program “The Birds of Coe Park’ at 8pm. Learn how to identify birds by sight and sound.

Gavilan Joggers And Striders Running Club

Meets at 8:15am every Saturday at Christmas Hill Park, near the entrance. Jog two to three miles including short track workout.

Biking Group

The Health Ministries Program of Gilroy Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a Biking Group every Saturday, at 8:30am, leaving from the parking lot by First Street Coffee House, located at the corner of First Street and Westwood Drive.

Men and women of all skill levels are welcome. Shorter, recreatory paced short loop rides will be followed by longer, more challenging loops.

Advent Lutheran Church, 16870 Murphy Ave. in Morgan Hill, will host a Easter Sunday Worship from 8 to 10:45am.

A Easter Celebration Breakfast will be held from 9 to 11am. Cost is $7 per person or $20 per family.

Griefshare, a grief recovery support group, holds weekly meetings at First Baptist Church, 8455 Wren Ave., from 7 to 9pm in the Choir room.
