Raffle For Girls’ Softball
Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) and Sports, a non-profit girl’s softball organization, is selling raffle tickets outside of Nob Hill, 777 First St. in Gilroy, every Friday through Monday in April. The sale is held from 3 to 7pm on Fridays, 8am to 5pm on Saturdays, 1 to 5pm on Sundays and 3 to 7pm on Mondays. The tickets cost $2 each or $5 for 3. Prizes shopping sprees at Nob Hill in the amounts of $150, $250 and $500.
Proceeds will help pay for the cost of the Gilroy Stanford Cardinals’ softball games. The drawing will be held on May 2. Participants do not need to be present to win.

The Garlicky Group of Poets will hold its monthly poetry reading on Saturday, at 3:30pm in the meeting room of the Gilroy Public Library, located at the corner of Rosanna and Sixth streets. Public participation is free and encouraged.

Mount Madonna School Information Day
Mount Madonna School will hold “Preschool Through Fifth Grade Information Day” on Saturday, April 9, from noon to 2pm, in Watsonville.
There are openings in most grades.

Gavilan Joggers And Striders Running Club
Meets at 8:15am every Saturday at Christmas Hill Park, near the entrance. Jog two to three miles including short track workout. Beginner joggers and those who would like to compete in running events are welcome.

Get Out And Go Biking
The Health Ministries Program of Gilroy Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a Biking Group every Saturday, at 8:30am, leaving from the parking lot by First Street Coffee House, located at the corner of First Street and Westwood Drive.
Men and women of all skill levels are welcome. Shorter, recreationally paced short loop rides will be followed by longer, more challenging loops.

The next CVSP Task Force Meeting will be held at 5:30pm on Monday, April 11, at 151 West Mission St., Room 202 A and B (Health Building), just west of San Jose City Hall.
’50 Plus Shopper Event’ At The Outlets
On Tuesday, from 10am to 9pm, Gilroy Premium Outlets will be hosting the “50 Plus Shopper Event”.
In addition to the 10% discounts participating stores give shoppers ages 50 and older every Tuesday, many of the stores will be giving additional discounts for one day only. Just show your I.D. at the Information Center in Building C to pick-up a goodie bag filled with special discounts and a list of participating stores.
Participating shoppers may enter a drawing to win prizes donated by Center merchants. Drawings will be held at 3pm and participators do not need to be present to win.
