Articulate Solutions awarded

Gilroy – Articulate Solutions received two gold and one silver in the prestigious 2005 Davey Awards competition. The Davey Awards, given for outstanding visual arts, were announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts on Nov. 7.

The Davey Awards exclusively honor the “Davids” of creativity, the finest small firms, agencies and companies in the world. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock – the sort of thing small firms do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets.

Articulate Solutions won a gold for their design of the City of Morgan Hill Book Cover titled, “Trees,” in the category of Art Direction and Graphic Design. This is the second gold won by Articulate Solutions for this project. The first gold was awarded by the MarcCom Creative competition in October.

In the category of outstanding Logo Design, Articulate Solutions took home both a gold and silver. The gold recognized the team’s logo design for Frantoio Grove, a real estate development project and a silver was awarded for their Blush Boutique logo design.

Spotless home for the holidays

Morgan Hill – The holidays are a great time for catching up with friends and family. They’re also the time of year you want your home clean and inviting to guests.

Molly Maid of Morgan Hill-Gilroy have some suggestions for cleaning up in time for the holidays.

“This is the time of year, as temperatures cool and people head indoors, when we notice all of the things we neglected during the warmer summer months when we spent our time outdoors,” says Gary Whitaker, owner of the Morgan Hill-based franchise.

But no need to worry. Here is a checklist to review and rely on to get your home back in shape for the entertaining season.

– Turn Up the Lights: The first thing to do when preparing to clean, particularly since the days are getting shorter, is to turn the lights on the highest setting when you clean.

– Focus Your Work: If you are pressed for time, concentrate on these areas first: guest bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchen, family room and dining room.

– Clean Often, Not Long.
