Gilroy – Lee Snijders from HGTV’s Design on a Dime will be a featured speaker at the 7th annual Home, Garden & Culinary Show inside the gates of Bonfante Gardens, in Gilroy, Sunday, May 22, at noon and 3pm.
Snijders will help local homeowners with their design questions with his presentation Breaking the Rules of Design followed by a question and answer session to address individual design challenges. The Home, Garden & Culinary Show offers homeowners from San Jose to Monterey a unique opportunity to find more than 200 upscale exhibits and products to help with decorating, remodeling and landscaping projects. Exhibits include everything from the ordinary to the extraordinary and offers some of the areas best designers and service professionals. Unique plants, garden accents and home décor items are available for sale at the show and some exhibitors come from as far away as the Philippines to offer products not found in local stores.

First National Bank Promotes Sue Burnham
Monterey – Sue Burnham, Regional Sales Manager for First National Bank of Central California, South Valley National Bank, and San Benito Bank, has been promoted to Senior Vice President.
Burnham currently manages a team of bank officers specializing in business development for commercial and small business lending, leasing, real estate loans and the banks’ trust & investment divisions. She is responsible for maximizing sales opportunities for all of the company’s business and product lines throughout the area.
Burnham joined the company in 1996 as a Vice President and Business Development Officer and was named Regional Sales Manager in 2002. She has more than 30 years of banking experience, including positions with First Interstate Bank, Crocker Bank and Wells Fargo. She has an A.A. degree from Monterey Peninsula College and has taken a number of business courses at Golden Gate College.
A Salinas resident, Burnham is active in community affairs and has worked with the United Way, Boy Scouts, Big Brother and Big Sisters, Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula, SPCA and Rotary Club. She and her husband Bob enjoy bike riding, hiking and all water sports.

Getas returns as co-anchor for KION 46
Salinas – Former Central Coast anchor, Marilyn Getas has been named co-anchor for KION 46 News.
“Marilyn is a strong anchor and a real professional on the news desk. She is passionate and committed to serving our communities.” said Denise Clodjeaux, KION 46 News Director.
Getas joined Hunter Finnell Thursday, anchoring the 6 and 11pm weeknight newscasts. Finnell, long-time KION 46 sports anchor, was named co-anchor of the KION 46 news at 5, 6 and 11pm on April 4.
“It is wonderful to come home,” Getas said. “I’m excited to be working with Hunter Finnell. His energy is infectious.”
She returns to the Central Coast from the NBC affiliate in Baltimore, where she was a highly regarded weekday morning anchor. For two successive years, she was voted part of the Best Anchor Team by Baltimore Magazine.
