DEAR EDITOR:
After reading the entire article in the June 27 Dispatch by Ron Erskine, I don’t understand his thinking when the says that he doesn’t suspect Bush of such mischief as Nixon. It seems it is only true if he suspects much worse.
Nixon went against his political enemies. Bush has duped the entire populace of the United States for only the most corrupt motives and basest of reasons. He has begun the murder of thousands of people in another country, including now hundreds of our citizens. He has allowed people of dubious character, such as Cheney and Ashcroft, to begin a secret war against citizens of this country. He has fronted people like Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell And still Mr. Erskine doesn’t think he’s “mischievous!”
I am appalled.
