Carol Salbacka-Heintz-Flook, age 61, of Corralitos died March 2, 2003 at her residence after a struggle with cancer for three years.

Heintz-Flook was Born in Palo Alto. She attended Palo Alto High School and received her bachelor’s degree from San Jose State Occupational Therapy program.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was licensed by the State of California Occupational Therapy Board and maintained her practice in Gilroy. She was a member of OTAC. As a member of the Oriana Chorale of San Benito County, she enjoyed singing – classical music and performance-style music. “She loved playing the piano simply for herself and for others,” said her husband.

She was the owner of Transitions Rehabilitation in Gilroy.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Flook of Corralitos, son Leif Heintz of Boise, Idaho and daughter Brenda Hastings of Gilroy. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kristal Heintz of Millbrae, Corey Marshall of Gilroy and Stina Marshall of Gilroy; brother Walta Salbacka Jr. of Seaside; sister Phylis Rogers of Lake Elmo, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration of Carol’s life on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Private inurnment will have been held.
