Births
Payton Walter Wheeler was born to Clint and Julie Wheeler on Nov. 29. He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Cailey Sofia Herrera was born to Josi R. and Victor M. Herrera of Hollister on June 3 at Saint Louise Regional Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces.
Andrew Peter Giordanengo was born to Kevin and Jamie Giordanengo of Morgan Hill and his wife at Santa Teresa Hospital June 8. Andrew weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Engagements
Melissa Anderson, daughter of Mike and Judy Anderson of Hoover, Ala., and Jeff Hinn, son of George Hinn and Joyce Kludt of Gilroy, announced their engagement to be married in the fall of this year. Melissa is employed as a youth pastor at The River Community Church, and graduated from the University of Alabama. Jeff owns his own personal training business, Inside-Out Fitness, and attends Western Seminary.
Gary and Diane Elia of Gilroy are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Janina Elia to Ethan Pepper, son of Everest and Marilyn Pepper of San Jose. The couple will marry on Oct. 2 at The Inn at Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz. Janina and Ethan both graduated from San Jose State University. Janina is currently an advertising account executive for Lawrence Madison Communications in Mountain View, and Ethan is a financial advisor for Washington Mutual.
Rebecca Merrill, daughter of Kim and Christine Merrill of Salinas, and Keith Spencer, son of Mark and Patty Spencer of Gilroy, announced their engagement to be married on Oct. 2 at St. Mary Church. The Matron of Honor will be Kimberly Merrill, sister of the bride, and the Best Man will be Adam Jones. The reception will take place at the Elk Lodge, and the couple plans to honeymoon in Jamaica. Rebecca is a graduate of Mount Madonna High School and works for Merrill’s Living Services in Gilroy. Keith is a Gilroy High School graduate who works at the Sunglass Hut in Gilroy.
