FREMONT – The Gilroy Chaos Girl’s 10-under Softball team won three straight games to take the Fremont tournament crown on Saturday, Sept. 6.

In the first game against the North Valley Renegades (San Jose) Gilroy rode the pitching of Danielle Kinoshita to an 8-2 victory. Michelle Sosa, Adrianna Osuna, and Stephanie Gomez each scored two runs in the game. The Chaos next faced the Yard Sharks from Sacramento and won 7-1 once again behind the arm of Kinoshita. Dominique Perez had two hits and scored three runs in the game and also snagged a line drive in right field that prevented the Sharks from scoring two runs.

In the championship game the Chaos once again faced the North Valley Renegades and Kinoshita rang up seven strikeouts and held the opposition to two hits to lead the team to a 13-1 victory. Vanessa Tellez had the big hit for the Chaos – a double that scored two runs to put the lead out of reach. Osuna collected eight hits in the three games and Sosa and Kinoshita followed with five hits each to pace the Chaos offense during the tournament.
