Deputies said they were notified of a prior sexual assault that occurred on November 8, 2015, at 8:30 pm at Coyote Reservoir Road/Coyote Lake County Park. Â Rodriguez, from Hollister, had lived with the victim’s family in the past and didn’t meet her at the school, a press release said. Police allege he touched the victim several times in a sexual manner.
Danny Rodriguez was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for contact a minor with intent to commit sexual acts, sexual battery and annoying and molesting a minor.Â
School Superintendent Deborah Flores sent a letter home with students explaining that the district was cooperating with law enforcement and couldn’t say much more because of the pending investigation. Rodriguez has been placed on leave pending the outcome.
She said Rodriguez, like all employees, was fingerprinted and had his background checked before he was hired.
“I want to reassure you that the safety and security of our students is our highest priority,” she wrote.Â
