Since the headlines for these opinion letters may or may not reflect the content, I just want to write a note to clarify two of my thoughts that were misunderstood – based on a response to my letter. The first is that the wisdom of God is so far superior to our human intelligence that we dupe ourselves into thinking we are self-sufficient. The second is that there are few things more practical in this world than Jesus’s love and forgiveness. The explanation of these truths is only as far away as the nearest Bible we choose to read.
