BASEBALL: Local team victorious at inaugural tournament
The South County Rebels, a Gilroy-based 11U baseball team, earned the championship at the inaugural Mardi Gras Tournament held at Las Animas Veterans Field on Sunday.
AAUW hosts women in history lunch with author
The Gilroy branch of the American Association of the University of Women is celebrating Women’s History Month with a lunch and presentation with Robert P. J. Cooney, Jr., author of the landmark book, “Winning the Vote: The Triumph of the American Woman Suffrage Movement.”
