Home Depot employees volunteer to beautify Christmas Hill
Employees of Home Depot gave up a Thursday to help paint the corral/arena area at Christmas Hill Park April 5 to celebrate Paint Day.
Annual Haru Matsuri festival Sunday
The Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center will host the 52nd annual Haru Matsuri event along with the 16th Annual Northern California Taiko Expo from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 15. It will include cultural and historical displays, martial arts and Tai Chi demonstrations, Asian cuisine, and of course, lots of Taiko.
TIERRA BELLA: Ride on
With the sun sparkling off the waters of Uvas Reservoir and an endless blue sky as the backdrop, Scott and Susan Francks alternated sentences. The couple’s voices, along with the occasional squirrel scurrying past, broke a serene, peaceful silence of a perfect morning last Friday. Their words sent the mind swirling and offered imagery complimentary to the setting.
Interim library building now available for lease
Out goes the books and in comes a new business, hopefully: The soon-to-be empty 10,000-square-foot interim library building on Monterey Road is available for lease.
