Traffic will slow down late at night and early in the morning on U.S. 101 in north Morgan Hill next week.

From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, crews from the California Department of Transportation will be grinding and paving pot holes on the freeway. The construction will take place on both sides of U.S. 101, between the Cochrane Road exit and Coyote Creek Bridge.

Only two lanes will be open on each side during the construction, according to a Caltrans spokesman.

Additionally, on the night of Wednesday, June 17, the Cochrane Road on-ramp to U.S. 101 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the construction zones.
