Dear Editor,
I am always in awe of people who sit in judgment of others while
their own behavior is far more offensive to traditional social
mores and the causes they represent. I believe Jesus tells a story
in the Bible about a man that can see the splinter in his friend’s
eye but, can’t see the plank in his own.
Dear Editor,

I am always in awe of people who sit in judgment of others while their own behavior is far more offensive to traditional social mores and the causes they represent. I believe Jesus tells a story in the Bible about a man that can see the splinter in his friend’s eye but, can’t see the plank in his own.

The supporters of the “Day of Truth” have been so vocally “concerned” about the “political indoctrination” and the “misuse” of taxpayer money with regards to the “Day of Silence” that they totally fail to recognize their own lies, anger, threats and name-calling as far more offensive.

The Web site promoting the “Day of Truth” is misleading to innocent and impressionable teens and misrepresents the “truth” about the “Day of Silence”, in essence, a lie. Where’s the outrage? Where’s the venomous calls for change? Where’s the protest? Today, in support for the “Day of Truth”, yet another abusive, indignant advocate misquoted and misrepresented (lied) about previously published letters and, reverted to the childish tactic of name-calling.

I can only speak as one of the people referenced in this letter but, I can honestly attest to never having met this individual in my life! I am curious as to HOW he feels qualified to publicly imply that my intellectual capabilities are, somehow less than his simply because I have chosen to follow Jesus’ teachings to accept and love ALL of God’s children as brothers and sisters … whether they differ from me or not … unconditionally, and leave the judgment to HE who IS far more superior to humans in ALL ways. Or was his letter simply another attempt at misrepresenting the truth?
