Delores passed away Wednesday, August 17th, 2011, at the age of 89. She was born in Santa Clara.
he was raised a daughter of an orchard farmer in Aromas. She was very proud of her Portuguese ancestry and family’s business. She was married to the love of her life Zola Balla in 1951. She raised her two children in Gilroy. She was a busy homemaker and enjoyed cooking and being with family and friends. She loved being with her two grandchildren.
Her Passion was family along with the love of her gardening. She was a friend to all and everyone enjoyed her happy disposition. In her leisure she enjoyed relaxing in her spa.
She is survived by her loving children Janice (Kenneth) Bettencourt and Gary Balla; Grandchildren Merle Balla and Alison (Michael) Borges; siblings Evelyn Balla, George Netto, Madeline Brickwedel and the late Edward and John Netto.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 24, 2011, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th Street, Gilroy followed by Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. and burial at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. Donations to the Arthritis Foundation (Rheumatory Arthritis Division) or to your charity of choice would be preferred.
