The Desperados gained sole possession of first place in the
Men’s CCC League softball chase Monday with an 18-14 win over
Bracco’s Towing at Christmas Hill Park.
Gilroy – The Desperados gained sole possession of first place in the Men’s CCC League softball chase Monday with an 18-14 win over Bracco’s Towing at Christmas Hill Park.

Bob Stuve and Justin Tandy each garnered four hits and Justin Barroza scored five runs for the 2-0 Desperados. Phil Clark added two triples and a single while scoring four runs for the winners. Danny Rubalcava hit a three-run home run and Alex Rojas stroked a three-run triple and two singles for Bracco’s Towing, the first-half DD League champion.

Jayson Morton hit a grand slam and Brandon Straw followed with a solo homer as Campbell’s Towing pushed across eight runs in the sixth inning to grab an 18-17 victory over Gamers In Control.

Morton hit two homers and Jared Snyder poked a two-run homer for Campbell’s. Matt Coughlin cracked two home runs, A. J. Martinez one for the Gamers. Manuel Rivera went 5-for-5, Nathan Avila 4-for-5 for the Gamers.

Hector Viramontez powered a two-run home run with out in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Hit Men past Chris Costello Electric 7-6.

Viramontez went 3-for-3 and Steven Quistian doubled and singled for the Hit Men. Rick Lewis collected a triple and two singles, Mark Madelena a triple and single for Chris Costello Electric.

Bad News is 2-0 atop the second-half Men’s C League standings after a 16-10 victory over Keller Heating Monday at Las Animas Park.

Miguel Robles hit a three-run home run and Daniel Salinas scored four runs for Bad News. Josh Torres and Brent Boyd each lined a two-run home run for Keller Heating.

Art Tomasetti and Maciel Urenda each bagged three hits as BM Construction defeated the Platinum Roofing Slammers 14-4. Scott Rader hit a three-run home run for the Slammers.

Eddie Adame went 5-for-5 and Chendo Acevedo hit a three-run homer and three singles to help Pro Electric by Keading Performance 25-5. Paul Garcia went 2-for-3 for 1-1 Keading Performance.

Rudi Groppe’s two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning snapped an 8-8 tie and gave 2-0 Big Kahunas a 10-8 Co-Rec C League victory over South County Rockery Sunday at Las Animas.

Groppe, John Jimenez and Mark Logan each delivered three Big Kahunas hits. Dave Meacham went 3-for-5 for South County Rockery.

The Icy Hots are 2-0 after a 10-6 decision over Chili’s. Phil Tercero hit a triple and single, scoring twice for the Hots. Derek Orca homered in a three-hit effort and Vicki Velasquez scored twice for Chili’s.

Tony Martinez and Malina Contreras each singled, tripled and scored twice to highlight an 8-4 Team Hair FX win over Gamers In Control. Mitch Martinez hit two homers, Rudy Tovar two triples for Gamers in Control.
