Library system honored
Santa Clara County – For the fourth year in a row, the Santa Clara County Library was ranked the best library serving 250,000 to 500,000 people by the Hennen’s American Public Library Ratings.
The county library operates libraries in Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Milpitas, Morgan Hill and Saratoga, as well as the Alum Rock and Woodland branches and the Bookmobile that serves outlying neighborhoods, child care centers, senior centers and migrant labor camps in the county.
The ratings are determined by looking at several different measures including number of visits and circulation per capita.
Annually, more than 3 million visitors check out 10 million items.
