Brem Lane closure
GILROY – Brem Lane, between Holloway Road and Highway 152, has been closed permanently to public traffic, city traffic planners announced. Brem Lane is now accessed from Highway 152 via the newly constructed Holloway and Camino Arroyo roads.
The old road will be turned into a parking lot for the Gilroy Crossing commercial development nearby.
A temporary detour is in place from the old Brem/Highway 152 intersection to Camino Arroyo. The detour will be used until the Camino Arroyo/Highway 152 intersection is completed, October 2003. They city says the new road configuration will help traffic flow as the area gets developed.
