GILROY – The American Red Cross will hold a Gilroy community blood drive on Wednesday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 8455 Wren Ave.
Donators must be 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds. and be in general good health. Please bring ID.

Get your career in gear
GILROY – Students, job-hunters and people considering a career change are invited to “Career Day” in the Student Center at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21.
Exhibitors representing career fields including health care, law enforcement, public service, retail, the military and many more will be on hand to discuss job and career opportunities.
Attendees may bring resumes to hand out, as some employers are now hiring. Employers without open positions will educate future applicants about appropriate career preparation.
There will be door prize drawings for gifts. Event is free and open to the public.

GILROY – The Gavilan Small Business Development Center will present “Small Business Marketing” on Wednesday, April 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gavilan SBDC offices located at 8351 Church St., building E.
This class is an overview of basic marketing strategies. The instructor will discuss creating a plan to successfully market your business products or services.

GILROY – The 27th annual “Gilroy Ducks Unlimited Dinner” will be held on Friday, April 23, at the historic Strand Theatre, 7588 Monterey St.
Cocktails will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with dinner and a raffle following. Auction begins at 8:30 p.m.
