GILROY – The Gavilan College Small Business Development Center will hold “Writing Your Own Business Plan,” on Monday, Jan. 12, from 5:45 to 9 p.m., at its office at the Dry Creek Village Center, 8351 Church St., building E. Women in Afghanistan

MORGAN HILL – The challenge facing the women of Afghanistan is the subject of an informal lecture Thursday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. given by Rosemary Stasek, Mountain View city councilwoman.

Stasek recently returned from her second trip to Afghanistan this summer where she worked on a reconstruction project in the women’s prison in Kabul. Stasek will present a slide show and discuss the current situation in Afghanistan.

The lecture is sponsored by the American Association of University Women, Morgan Hill Branch, and will be presented at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, Monterey Road at East Fifth Street. Details: Katie, 778-9632.
