Gilroy –Don’s Vending is alone atop the Women’s Winter League after a 23-4 victory over Goldsmith’s Wednesday at Las Animas Park.

Jolene Carrasco went 5-for-5 and drove in four runs as the Vendors moved to 2-0. Alicia Hernandez went 4-for-4 and scored four runs for Don’s Vending. Liz Talavera added two triples and a single, Cherise Martinez four singles for the winners. Brenda Subia, Yolanda Lomas and Norma Wendt each went 2-for-2 and scored one Goldsmith’s run.

Maureen Duggan stroked two doubles and a single to pace the M&M’s past Longhouse Restaurant 17-1. Laura Hagiperos added a triple and two singles, scoring three runs for the winners. Rosemary Musquez went 3-for-3 for Longhouse.

Team Ninja is 1-1 after taking a forfeit win over Image & Design Salon & Day Spa-Guy’s Heating.

Men’s CCC

The Platinum Roofing Slammers reached 2-0 in Men’s Winter CCC League play Wednesday at Gavilan Sports Park by defeating Rhino Wiring 20-10.

Joaquin Chacon muscled a three-run home run and Justin Modavis went 3-for-3 to lead the Slammers surge. Gabe Corral and Steve Aguirre each hit a two-run home run for Rhino Wiring.

Louie & the Outlaws advanced to 2-0 in CCC action by downing George Chiala Farms 17-4.

Rich Perez keyed the Outlaws with a three-run homer and two singles. Marco Lopez scored three Outlaw runs. Gus Papanikolos and Rusty Trevino each went 3-for-3 for George Chiala Farms.

Hollister Motor Sports-Gilroy Steel is 1-1 after a 14-13 squeaker over Neighborhood Pizza.

Motor Sports-Steel erupted for 13 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to erase a 13-1 deficit. Manny Juarez laced a two-run home run to cap the comeback. Juarez, Albert Sanchez and T. J. Dickens Jr. each stroked two hits in the Hollister-Gilroy sixth.

Matt Plesac went 4-for-4 for the winners. Robert Sanchez went 4-for-4 and Brian Rudolfs added three hits and scored four runs for Neighborhood Pizza.

Men’s D

Tortured Souls Tattoo is 2-0 in Men’s Winter D competition Tuesday after a 22-7 verdict over Dan Keith Septics at Las Animas.

Jeremy Page hit two three-run home runs in a 12-run rally by the Tattoo in the top of the seventh innng. Jose Meledrez Jr. stroked five hits and Page and Brian Caswell added four hits apiece. Ernie Badillo went 3-for-4 for Dan Keith Septics. Tony Estrada drove in two runs and Danny DeLong singled and doubled for the Septics.

Luna Bail Bonds opened D play by stopping the Bomb Squad 12-7. Jaime Garcia went 3-for-3, Ray Walton 3-for-4 for Luna Bail Bonds. Ryan Bell and Ceasar Vasquez each singled and doubled for the Bomb Squad.

Gamers In Control reached 2-0 with a forfeit win over Temple Inland.
