because that’s how they can get attention.

Selling pets at a pet store is not a bad thing. Many people recently seem to disagree with me on that issue. All they want to do is scream “puppy mill” because that’s how they can get attention.
People should also care about the salt water fish outside of the U.S. where a child is paid one cent a day to dive down and flush bleach and other harmful chemicals into coral reefs to stun and catch some of the smaller fish – or at times placing dynamite in the reefs to catch them.
Consider also the birds that people smuggled over here in toilet paper tubes only sometimes to be left in someone’s garage to go insane due to lack of stimulation. And let’s not forget the countless reptiles that are caught from the wild, then placed in light tight boxes and shipped here with no food or water for days on end.
People seem to forget that. I’m sorry but if your going to be an animal lover, you have to care about all the animals, not just the ones people think are cute.
Look at the big picture and don’t just focus on one so-called “problem.”
Pet stores are here to sell us PETS! Not just supplies.
Not only is it important where they come from, but how we treat them when they get here.
