Dear Editor,
As I happened to be the object of one of Lisa Pampuch’s “random musings,” I feel compelled to respond.
I will concede her point that no direct connection has, as yet, been established between Saddam Hussein and 9/11. However, plenty of evidence has been uncovered that links Hussein to the al Qaeda network as far back as 1991. Lisa, if you wish to expand your source of info beyond the NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, the major TV networks and the rest of the “old media” now in desperate decline, consult weeklystandard.com. In the July 18 edition, there is a comprehensive article by Stephen F. Hayes and Thomas Joscelyn that presents, in well documented detail, the history of that relationship.
Regarding the terrible goings on in London, the Brits are now finding, to their dismay, that harboring vast numbers of Islamic radicals in their midst has been a tragic decision.
In return for shelter, Londoners trusted that the radicals would not soil their nest. Alas, this “devil’s bargain” has been shown to be a poor choice. Our sworn enemies cannot be trusted, neither in England or in America.
