Dear Editor,
Please share this and the attached letter with your readers. Hats off to the Gilroy Downtown Business Association for turning our negative experience around. Apology accepted! How truly wonderful it is to have your voice heard. We will be happy to revisit downtown Gilroy with a heightened awareness of parking in tow. I hope others will benefit from our experience. Thank you for caring.

Dear Susan McKenzie,
On behalf of the Gilroy Downtown Business Association, we would like to apologize to Susie MacKenzie for the actions of one of the downtown merchants. While he was within his legal rights to have your car towed, his actions do not reflect the spirit of the Downtown Gilroy we are trying to create.
To back up that spirit we would like to present you with a check to cover your expenses that day. The tow fees are covered by the Gilroy Downtown Business Association and are our way of saying, please, come back and help us make Downtown a great place to be and (to) shop. Your lunch is a gift from a realtor friend of the downtown.
Again, please accept our apology and gratitude for you past and future patronage. A hearty thank you also to your friend Maryalice Ritti for her letter to the editor.
Larry J. Mickartz, Vice President,
Gilroy Downtown Business Association
