DS Builders blanked Bracco’s Towing 4-0 Monday to assume first
place at 3-0 in second-half Men’s C League softball play at
Christmas Hill Park.
DS Builders opening the scoring in the third inning. Kurt
Simmons lined a double to plate both Kurtis Salter and Justin
Nicholson.
Eric Tollison clubbed an RBI-triple and scored on a Josh Newton
single in the fourth inning to complete the scoring.
Newton took game batting honors with a 3-for-3 effort. Mario
Silva was the lone Bracco’s batter to reach third base.
Josh Torres ripped a three-run home run to spark Malibu Freezze
past Pro Electric 17-11, leaving both clubs at 1-3.
Dave Arioto and Bill Carreiro each collected two hits in a
10-run second for Malibu. Arioto claimed batting honors with a
4-for-4 showing. Danny Sandoval Jr., Anthony Elizondo, Carlos
Cazares and Mike Sandoval each produced three runs for Pro
Electric.
The Dirty Dozen moved into first place at 3-0 in the Men’s CCC
League with an 18-5 win over 3-1 Tax Systems Monday at Las Animas
Park.
Mike Reggiardo, Ralphie Ortez and Art Naranjo clubbed home runs
in an eight-run sixth for the Dozen. Xavier Puente and Reggiardo
each fashioned four hits. Marco deReal homered and Daniel Hernandez
went 3-for-3 for Tax Systems.

Lozano’s Let Me Hit It scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim a 12-11 win over the Desperados.

Lawrence Espinoza ripped an RBI-triple and Don Rose plated the winning run with a single. Greg Gonzalez went 6-for-6 for Lozano’s. Bob Stuve belted four Desperados hits.

Anritsu built an 8-1 lead and held on to defeat Blackout Window Tinting 8-7 in Co-Rec C League play Tuesday at Las Animas.

Marco Lopez drove in three Anritsu runs with two singles and a triple. Terry Smith hit two doubles and scored two Blackout runs. Art Mancera hit an RBI-single and Smith produced a sacrifice fly as Blackout rallied for five runs in the seventh.

Team Coconut struck for seven runs in the third inning and upset Frank Vargas Taxes and Financing 10-5 in Co-Rec B play at Christmas Hill Tuesday.

Junior Gutierrez lined a triple and single in the rally for the 2-2 Coconuts. Joel Vaca and Ryan Dequin each added a two-run single. Gutierrez went 3-for-3. K. C. Adams homered for Vargas Taxes (3-1).

Pacific Coast Bail Bonds reached 3-1 with a 25-6 nod over Team Hair FX. Rich Rodriquez and Daniel Salinas each homered and Carissa Kozachek went 4-for-5 for the Bondsmen. Art Naranjo homered in a five-RBI night, Joel Garcia went 3-for-3 and Kathy Misenheimer went 2-for-2 for Team Hair FX, the first-half C champion.
