GILROY – Dutchman’s Pizza knocked Marks Tractor Service from the top spot in the Women’s C League standings Wednesday, powering past the Tractors 14-9 at Las Animas Park.

Mercy Sermeno went 3-for-3 as Dutchman’s improved to 2-0, pulling even with Let’s Do This atop the seven-team league. Marks Tractor is 2-1.

Dora Olivares clubbed a double and two singles, driving in three Pizza runs. Jeanne Ramos added a double and two singles. Mary Oteri stroked a three-run triple and a sacrifice fly for the winners. Cathy Marks went 4-for-4 and Ann-Marie Filice went 3-for-4 for Marks Tractor Service.

Cidny Barnes went 4-for-5 and scored five runs to lead M&M’s past Michael’s Mufflers 24-2. Jesse Dimarco went 4-for-4 and scored four runs, while Missy Hice lined two doubles and a single. Sophia Gause stroked a two-run single for Michael’s Mufflers, the first-half D League champion.

Goldsmith Seeds scored six runs in the third inning to erase a 5-2 deficit and topped the Impalas Car Club 15-8. Norma Wendt and Esmeralda Garcia each managed three hits and scored three Seeds runs. Shoelene Moreno drove in six runs with a triple and two singles. Silvia Vasquez went 3-for-3 and Corrina Casillas homered for the Impalas.

Brenda Maquinalez went 5-for-5 and scored five runs Wednesday as Kay’s Kids defeated the Angels 24-4 in Women’s D play at Gavilan Sports Park. Sylvia Solis went 5-for-5 with a home run for the Kids. Melissa Palm drilled a run-scoring double for the Angels.

The Dirty Dozen improved to 3-0 atop the Men’s D League Wednesday with a 17-2 verdict over Aladdin Bail Bonds-Fermin’s Appliance Service at Christmas Hill Park.

Art Naranjo went 3-for-3 and Luis Gutierrez scored three runs for the Dozen. John Carrillo and Dino Garcia scored the Aladdin-Fermin’s runs.

Lorenzo Nino powered a three-run home run to cap a 15-0 Desperados victory over Los Chilotes. Justin Barroza and Robert Ramirez each scored three Desperados runs. Joel Gaeta doubled for Los Chilotes.
