Dear Editor,
On behalf of Operation Interdependence (www.oidelivers.org), I would like to thank the community for their continued support of our deployed troops.
Members of our community have been dropping off letters of acknowledgement to the troops at Nob Hill, St. Mary’s Church, First Street Coffee Exchange and Sue’s Coffee Roasting Company.
Local OI volunteers gather each week to pack up the letters and baggies of treats. The hearts and souls of our brave men and women in uniform are being moved, touched and inspired by the efforts of our local communities.
A special thanks goes to Georgia Treft of Container Consulting Services for her desire and willingness to keep our South Bay Chapter of Operation Interdependence with a never ending supply of shipping boxes. Another debt of gratitude goes to Mike Nelson of Full Spectrum Machining, Inc. for his generous donation of warehouse space.
If any community group, educator, or individual would like more information on the many ways they can become involved with OI please contact me at 848-2630.
