Becerra scores game-winning run in 10-9 victory
GILROY – RMC Engineering snapped a three-game losing streak with a 10-9 rally past Extreme Air Poor Boys in Men’s CCC League play Monday at Christmas Hill Park.

The Engineers captured the first-half Men’s D title, then opened the second half in the CCC ranks with three losses. RMC erased deficits of 4-0 and 9-6, taking the decision in the bottom of the seventh inning when Jesse Becerra singled and scored on a Robert Huerta sacrifice fly.

Larry Montez keyed the RMC offense with a two-run home run and two-run double. Becerra went 3-for-3 and scored three runs. Brandon Orlando carried the Extreme offense with a home run and three singles. Dave Agliotis and Alan Hazelberg each managed three Poor Boy hits.

Krazy Koyote moved to 4-0 atop the seven-team league with a 15-0 victory over Morgan Hill Bible Church. Maciel Urinda homered and Benny Garcia lashed two doubles for Koyote, the first-half DD champion. Mike Peternel and Mark Dean each collected two hits for Morgan Hill Bible Church.

Jesse Rawlins turned a double, triple and home run into five RBI as 3-0 Campbell’s Towing tripped the Desperados 22-6. Jon Ontiveros and Rayce Zamarippa each homered, while Adrian Quintero went 4-for-4 and scored four Campbell’s runs. Gerald Buckman went 3-for-4 and Dean Filice stroked two sacrifice flies for the Desperados.

South County Rockery and Building Materials is 2-1 in Men’s CC play after a 4-3 squeaker past Malibu Heating and Air Conditioning Monday at Christmas Hill Park.

Mark Digiovanni singled and scored in the Rockery sixth to make it 3-3. Dave Meacham singled in the Rockery seventh and scored on an infield error. Tim Sorci paced the Rockery with three hits. Gabe Hernandez hit a two-run triple for Malibu Heating.

Brent Boyd went 4-for-5 with two RBI as 2-1 Carreiro’s Plastering stopped Las Animas Sweepers 11-8. Ryan Boyd, Rick Trujillo and Jeremy Castro each secured three hits for Carreiro’s. Kevin Orozco went 2-for-3 and scored twice for the Sweepers.

The Dirty Dozen improved to 2-1 with a 7-2 triumph over No Soup 4 You. Art Naranjo went 2-for-2 with two RBI and Ruben Lujan singled and tripled for the Dozen. Kurt Gitmed went 2-for-3 for the Soup.
