rabbit?
A: Hair. Well, actually baby hair. Hares are born with hair; rabbits aren’t. Hare babies have their eyes open; rabbit babies don’t. Hare babies can hop around shortly after birth; rabbit babies just lie there for a while.
After a few weeks, though, it’s a little harder to tell. But imagine a cottontail next to a jackrabbit: The jackrabbit has longer ears, longer back legs and is somewhat bigger. That’s because a jackrabbit is a hare, which generally outsizes cottontails and others of the rabbit clan.
