A home on London Drive in southwest Gilroy is such an eyesore, according to neighbors, that a complaint with the city has been filed. Infrequently the weeds are cleared, and right now they reach 6 feet in the front yard. Also, the line of nine trash and recycling containers (as of Monday afternoon) and out-of-use vehicles are disrupting the aesthetics of the area.
Usually, the occupants are responsible for maintaining their own yard, but the city could order the weeds to be cut back if it’s found to be a nuisance.
In other eyesore news, the weeds along Wildflower Court (Aug. 16) have been cut down, revealing a fire hydrant that was hidden before. Tall weeds are still abundant in some areas.
