Jeff Garcia earned his second United Football League Offensive Player of the Week selection after leading the Omaha Nighthawks to a come-from-behind 19-14 victory against the Hartford Colonials on Saturday night.

Garcia also anchored a comeback effort against the Colonials in Week 1.

The Nighthawks are 3-1 on the season and sit atop the standings in a tie for first place with the Las Vegas Locomotives.

Garcia completed 18-of-34 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night, including the game-winner to tight end Jeb Putzier from 3-yards out.

Locos’ safety Lewis Baker was named the Defensive Player of the Week and teammate Steve Hauschka garnered the Special Teams Player of the Week award.

The Nighthawks have a bye this weekend and return to action Thursday, Oct. 28 against Las Vegas. The Locos defeated Omaha 22-10 in the teams’ first meeting Oct. 8.
