 Frank D. Mendes, 87, longtime Gilroy resident, passed away October 10, 2013, following a long illness.
 Frank was a native of Hawaii and spread the aloha spirit wherever he went.
 He is survived by his devoted wife Mildred, sons Milton and Stanley, daughters Pearl and Verna, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
