Frank N. Gomez passed away at home on Feb. 6, 2003. Mr. Gomez was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He was 88 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Ruth Gomez of Gilroy. He was the father of Rosa and her husband Ismael Munoz of Gilroy, Aurelio and his wife Dolores Gomez of Santa Clara, Alex and his wife Mercy Gomez of Stockton and Emilio and wife Lidia Gomez of San Jose; grandfather of Benjamin Munoz, David Gomez, Laura Gomez, Angela Aistrup, Alex Gomez II, Anthony Gomez, Francisco Gomez and Nicholas Gomez; and great-grandfather of three.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lisa Munoz and niece Teresa Holmquist. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gomez was an avid poker player he has been a Gilroy resident for nine years. His family and friends were the most cherished part of his life.
Vigil Service will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday then to St. Mary Church for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. Donations to the Diabetes Foundation or Rebekah Childrens Home are preferred.
