D League standings Tuesday by earning a 14-8 victory over the Bomb

Gilroy ? Gamers In Control kept a one-half game lead in the Men?s Winter D League standings Tuesday by earning a 14-8 victory over the Bomb Squad at Las Animas Park.

Tony Martinez went 4-for-6 and Nathan Avila powered two triples and scored four runs as the Gamers surged to 5-1.

George Espinoza, on the way to a 3-for-5 night, poked a run-scoring single to center in the first inning as the Bomb Squad grabbed a 4-0 lead. Gilbert Ramirez and Martinez hit consecutive RBI-singles in the Gamers fourth to fashion an 8-5 lead.

Roy Ramos added a double and two singles to the Bomber attack. A. J. Martinez cracked a three-run home run for Gamers In Control.

Tortured Souls Tattoo reached second place at 4-1 with a 25-15 nod over Luna Bail Bonds.

Jeremy Page laced a grand slam and a three-run home run for the Tattoo. Brian Caswell stroked five hits, Vince Soares four for the winners. Steve Borgna homered in a 5-for-5 effort for Luna Bail Bonds. Mike Catangay and Maciel Urenda each went 4-for-4 for the Bondsmen.

Ben Roybal went 4-for-4 and Dave Robinson scored five runs to lead Dr. Tile by Dan Keith Septics 19-10. Ben Roybal went 4-for-4 and scored three Dr. Tile runs. Lupe Lemus homered and Rick Trujillo lined a single, double and triple for Dan Keith Septics.

Men?s C

Danger II remained unbeaten in Men?s Winter C League competition with a 12-11 squeaker over Czar Construction Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park.

Ed Lujan lined a two-run single in the first inning as Danger II grabbed a 6-2 lead. A Fernando Rodriguez double and Keenan Vaca sacrifice fly gave Czar Construction (3-3) an 11-10 lead in the top of the fifth. Joel Gaeta tripled and scored on a Mike Hernandez single in the fifth to tie the score. Benji Casarez, Ray Rojas and Gaeta hit consecutive singles in the seventh to producing the winning run.

Gaeta went 4-for-4, Kenny Hopf 3-for-4 for the 5-0 winners. Joel Vaca went 3-for-3 and Bobby Reggiani went 3-for-4 and scored three runs for Czar.

Jus 2 Party is second at 4-1 after an 11-8 decision over Bike Center. George Salgado provided a two-run home run, Mitch Martinez a 3-for-3, three-run night for the Party. Marshall Silva went 3-for-3 for the Bikers.

Rosendo Acevedo powered two home runs to give Pro Electric a 21-9 win over the Playaz. Cris Adame and Mike Sandoval each went 4-for-4 for the 2-3 Electricians. Steve Torres collected three singles for the Playaz.

Men?s DDD

The Loco Boys topped the Good Ole Boys 12-7 to remain in first place in the Men?s Winter DDD League standings Monday at Christmas Hill.

Bubba Lara keyed the Loco Boys attack with a home run and two singles, plating four runs. Jimmy Castaneda and Kurtis Salter each scored twice for the 4-1 winners. Brian Stelling went 2-for-4 and scored two runs for the Good Ole Boys.

Deadman Inc. also made it to 4-1 with an 11-2 victory over Walton & Sons Masonry.

Keith Hirahara, Mark Cisneros and Rob Martin hit consecutive RBI-singles as Deadman scored four runs in the first frame. Paul Inocencio went 4-for-4 and Cisneros hit a three-run home run for Deadman. Jared Reeves went 2-for-3 and scored a Walton & Sons Masonry run.

The Titans reached third place at 3-2 by defeating AAA-Cali Boys 11-8. Jim Reimer keyed the Titans offense with two doubles and a single. Johnny Ramirez hit two doubles and scored three Titans runs. Alex Gonzales, Art Del Valle and Danny Banderas managed three hits apiece for AAA-Cali Boys.
