A second-half surge by De Anza proved too much for the Gavilan women’s team Friday.Â
The Dons outscored Gavilan by 17 points in the second half to win 69-62 Friday in Gilroy.Â
The Rams held a 10-point lead, 36-26, at halftime.Â
Felicia Lee-Cardenas led Gavilan with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds in additions to four assists and three steals.Â
Natalia Armstrong scored 13 and grabbed three boards and three assists. Katrina Diaz also scored 13 points with three assists, three steals and two rebounds.Â
Greer Watson chipped in with nine points, two rebounds and two assists and Brittany Valdez scored six points. She also had five rebounds, four assists and two steals.Â
Desirae Canela hit a 3-point basket that got Gavilan within four points in the second half.Â
The Rams (10-14 overall, 2-6 in conference) will play it’s final road game of the regular season at 5 p.m. Friday at Foothill College.

Rams fall to De Anza
The Gavilan men dropped a hard fought game to De Anza 81-70 Friday at home.Â
The Rams trailed 43-34 at the half and were outscored by just two points in the second.Â

Gavilan (3-18 overall, 2-7 in conference) will play its third to last game of the season at 7 p.m. Friday at San Jose City College.
