After being outscored by nine points in the first half, the Gavilan women’s basketball team turned the tables. 
The Rams bested Cabrillo by six points in the second half, but fell just shy of a win. The team lost 53-50 at home Wednesday.
Breanna Hernandez came off the bench to lead Gavilan with 15 points in addition to eight rebounds. Felicia Lee-Cardenas posted 10 points and seven rebounds and two steals while Kelsey Caudill scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds, two steals and a block.
Gavilan (2-16 overall, 1-5 in league) will play at Foothill College at 7 p.m. Friday.

Gavilan falls to Cabrillo
The woes of the Gavilan men’s basketball team continue. 
The Rams fell 83-50 to Cabrillo College Wednesday at home. The team is now 1-16 overall and 0-6 in league play. 
Scoring and stats from this game were not available.
Gavilan has just six games left in the regular season, with its next game at 7 p.m. Saturday at San Jose City College.
