Gavilan’s Angel Velasquez notched 13 saves against City College of San Francisco Friday, but unfortunately for the Rams, it wasn’t enough. Gavilan was shut out for the second straight game, this time falling 2-0.
Both teams were locked in a scoreless tie until the 52nd minute when Gilherme Siqueira scored off an assist from Kevin Ramierez. The visitors secured their win 11 minutes later when Gian Marco Zancanaro found the back of the net for a goal. Christian Carranza assisted on the goal.
Hibsen Tamayo-Davila blasted three shots—one on goal—for Gavilan.
The Rams (0-7 overall, 0-4 in conference) look to right the ship against West Valley at 4 p.m. Tuesday at home.
