Break out the brooms. Gavilan continued to bowl past its opponents as it swept Hartnell Tuesday and Ohlone Wednesday on the road. With the wins, Gavilan improves to a perfect 4-0 in conference play. 
The Rams blanked Hartnell 25-18, 25-20, 25-14 Tuesday. Samantha Nydam led the charge on offense with 10 kills. Madison Hartman notched nine. Erica Chapa brought it all together with 31 assists in addition to 11 digs. 
Valerie Rodgers dug deep and notched 17 digs in the game. Alexia Balistreri notched three solo blocks and assists at the net. 
The double trouble of Nydam and Hartman gave Canada fits Wednesday in Gavilan’s 26-24, 25-15, 25-13 win. Hartman had a team-high 14 kills, followed by Nydam, who added 13. Chapa tallied 36 assists for Gavilan. 
Valerie Rodgers had 12 digs and served up two aces. 
Gavilan (9-7 overall, 4-0 in conference) will be back on the court at 5 p.m. Saturday to face off with San Jose City College at home.

Vikings unload on Gavilan
West Valley hammered the Rams Tuesday as it cruised to a 7-0 win at Gavilan College. 
The Vikings scored three goals in the first half and four in the second.
Despite the lopsided score, Gavilan netminder Angel Velasquez gave a stellar performance between the pipes with 14 saves. 
Gavilan (0-8 overall, 0-5 in conference) will host Monterey Peninsula College at 4 p.m. Friday.
