Gavilan dropped its fourth straight game, falling 4-0 to the unbeaten Hartnell Tuesday at home. 
The Panthers struck in the 8th and 26th minutes to take a 2-0 lead at half.
Lorenzo Vasquez, who leads the state in points scored with 32 off 12 goals, scored off a pass from Jorge Martinez, Jr. in the 68th minute. Vasquez was taken to the hospital during the game after suffering an injury in the 80th minute, according to a report by the Salinas Californian. 
Jose Flores finished off the scoring for Hartnell with a goal in the 88th minute. 
Gavilan (2-8-2 overall, 1-4 in conference) will hit the road to take on Las Positas College at 4 p.m. Friday in Livermore.
