Genevieve Vanella died at her home on Dec. 1, 2003 at the age of 85.
She is survived by her children, Vita Lawson, Frances Duval, Susan Briggs, Anthony Vanella, Richard Vanella, Frank Vanella, Eugene Vanella and Gina Zuniga; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Sam Zangri, Tony Zangri; and sisters, Emmauel Zengri and Susan Staggs.
A vigil service will be held today at 7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, 17400 Peak Ave., Morgan Hill.
Interment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
